Is money from your music going uncollected?

•Free tool•With official links

Streaming payouts from your distributor are only one of several royalty streams a recording or a song can earn. Others are collected by separate organisations and are often never claimed. Answer the questions below to see which ones may apply to you. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

The royalty streams this check covers

  • Neighbouring rights: paid when recordings are played on radio, TV, in public places and on non-interactive digital radio. Split between the performers and the owner of the master.
  • Performance royalties for songwriters: collected by a performing rights organisation (PRO) in your country.
  • Mechanical royalties: owed to songwriters for every stream or copy of the song; in the US they are collected by The MLC.
  • YouTube: recordings used in other people's videos can be identified by Content ID when your distributor registers eligible tracks.
